In recent days, Bill Sandifer has picked up two endorsements from leading pro-life and pro-family groups in South Carolina. Sandifer is running for the S.C. House seat in District 2.
Sandifer has been endorsed by Palmetto Family PAC, the faith-based political action committee of Palmetto Family Council. The Council is a non-profit educational foundation committed to “defending and strengthening South Carolina families.” According to organization leaders, primary issues of concern to the Council include life-long committed marriage, the relationship between parent and child, the definition of marriage, life issues, legal issues, and public and private gaming. Palmetto Family Council was formed in 1994 and is associated with Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council.
“Palmetto Family PAC is proud to endorse Bill Sandifer in House District 2,” said the organization’s Chairman Hal Stevenson. “He is a proven supporter of pro-family and pro-life issues who consistently works hard to defend and strengthen South Carolina families. We are proud to have Bill as a clear, reliable voice on policy issues affecting South Carolina families.”
In addition, LIFEPAC, the political action committee of S.C. Citizens for Life also has endorsed Sandifer. S.C. Citizens for Life is a state affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee, the nation’s largest single-issue right-to-life organization.
“We appreciate Bill’s years of commitment to protecting innocent human life,” said LIFEPAC Chairman Joe Rumler and S.C. Citizens for Life President Lisa Van Riper in an endorsement letter. “We look forward to working with him again to further enhance the protection of pre-born children and the medically fragile members of our human family.”
