Sandifer recognized with Peas and Carrots Award by
Citizens for Sound Conservation
Columbia, SC – This week, Bill Sandifer was selected to receive the first-ever Peas and Carrots Legislative Award presented by Citizens for Sound Conservation awarded its first Peas and Carrots Legislative Award.
This award is given to a total of 21 legislators who have demonstrated exemplary efforts throughout the 118th General Assembly Session to balance growth with protection in order to improve the state’s environmental and economic quality of life.
“The recipients of our award recognize this and understand that growth and protection can go together – just like peas and carrots,” said Citizens for Sound Conservation Executive Director Denver Merrill. “We applaud these legislators’ efforts to make South Carolina a better place to live and work and are proud to acknowledge them with this award.”
Citizens for Sound Conservation was formed as a pro-environment pro-growth organization committed to educating all stakeholders on the need for sound conservation policies that not only protect the environment but enhance the potential for continued economic prosperity.
