It’s that time of year again–time for South Carolina’s annual Sales Tax Holiday, which was established to help parents and students purchase all of the items they need to go back to school. This weekend, items like clothing, shoes, towels, bed linens and a variety of school supplies are exempt from sales tax at all stores across our state.

This year’s tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 6 and ends at midnight on Sunday, August 8. Here is a link to the tax holiday information page from the S.C. Department of Revenue, which includes a list of the tax-exempt items.

I hope you enjoy these final days of summer before back-to-school time is officially here! If I can ever do anything to help you or your family, please don’t hesitate to give me a call.

Sincerely,

Bill Sandifer
