Sandifer Earns Perfect Marks from The School District of Oconee County
Oconee, SC—Rep. Bill Sandifer (R-Oconee) is at the top of his class according to The School District of Oconee County. Sandifer was given straight “A+” grades in every category on the district’s legislative report card.
This year is the first time that the district has presented report cards to members of the S.C. General Assembly, according to district superintendent Dr. Mike Lucas. The grades were issued at the districts yearly meeting with area elected officials last week.
“We want to let everyone in the community know how supportive Rep. Sandifer and other elected officials are of education and our district,” Lucas says. Lucas also mentioned that Sandifer shines in categories such as “citizenship”—keeping an open relationship and ongoing communication with area schools and “math”—supporting improvements in the schools such as technology initiatives.
Sandifer, who has served the people of Oconee County since 1994, has earned a reputation in the S.C. House for being a strong supporter of public education.
“To give all of South Carolina’s children a first-class foundation, we must have an educational system that builds on our successes and uses innovation,” Sandifer says. “The School District of Oconee County is pursuing quality and excellence. I am honored to support and assist the district in its invaluable work.”
