The National Guard Association of South Carolina has named Bill Sandifer as its “legislator of the year” in a ceremony on Hilton Head Island, March 15th.

Major General Bob Livingston, adjutant general of South Carolina, said, “As a former guardsman, Chairman Sandifer knows the needs of our citizen soldiers. During his time in the general assembly, he has consistently supported our men and women in uniform.”

Representative Sandifer served 20 years in the South Carolina Army National Guard, retiring as a major. He represents District 2 in the South Carolina House, and has served the people of Oconee County for 20 years, earning a reputation as a dedicated conservative who shapes public policy focused on job creation and economic growth, high-quality education, efficient government, and strong families.

The National Guard Association of South Carolina is the professional voice of active and retired South Carolina Air and Army National Guard members. They serve as the local arm of the National Guard Association of the United States to represent and protect the interests of our nation’s defense and South Carolina Citizen Soldiers.
