In his bid for re-election to the South Carolina House, Oconee County District 2 Representative Bill Sandifer has received an endorsement from LIFEPAC, the political action committee of S.C. Citizens for Life.
S.C. Citizens for Life is a state affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee, the nation’s largest single-issue right-to-life organization. The organization, through education, legislation, and political action, works to restore the right to life of the pre-born and to protect the lives of medically vulnerable individuals, including elderly, disabled, mentally ill, chronically ill, and terminally ill persons.
LIFEPAC chooses to endorse candidates based on their pro-life positions and pro-life voting records, regardless of political affiliation.
Sandifer received the LIFEPAC endorsement this year in part because he was instrumental in passing the Opt Out of Abortion bill in the House, according to LIFEPAC Chairman Joe Rumler and President Lisa Van Riper. By passing the Opt Out bill, South Carolina will not be forced to cover abortions with taxpayer dollars under the Obamacare healthcare law.
